First Reel Interview: sculptor Elyssa Sykes-Smith

Share

After toying with the idea of moving into mini film interviews, we’re  proud to announce the first Reel Interview with Sydney sculptor, Elyssa Sykes-Smith. The exceptionally lovely and inspiring young artist talks about her career and current piece for Sculptures By The Sea.

We were lucky to have Emily Walpole operating the kamikaze camera while Elyssa set up her latest work “The Chase” for Sculptures By The Sea. Big thanks to Stef2026 for filming the interview.

You’re most welcome to subscribe to our new youtube channel, Reel Interviews, as we share some of our new stories on creative types in a more dynamic way.

Oh and big thumbs up to Sydney’s indie fave’s “Maxine Kauter Band” for kindly giving us permission to use “Ghost In Love” from their most recent album of the same name. If you like the track be sure to buy a copy of the sensational album! We plan to use music from emerging acts in future Reel Interviews.
